Ego Depletion or Decision Fatigue is a psychological phenomenon where the act of making decisions exhausts mental resources, leading to decreased motivation and willpower over time.

The key to preventing ego depletion is to limit the number of options, even if you are capable of resisting the other options. By reducing choice, more mental energy remains to focus on what is actually important.
